Readers of this website and of the printed dictionary are invited to contribute to the evolving dictionary. Please post your suggested amendments and additions here, supported by references wherever appropriate. If you want to know the meaning of a term not included in the printed dictionary (see the list of entries) or the online supplement, please ask.

All adopted changes to the dictionary will appear in the continuously updated online supplement, which will be incorporated into the printed dictionary’s next edition. Urbanwords will carry a growing body of information: more terms, improved entries, more meanings, and more examples of uses, both current and historic.
